Surface & Home began more than 25 years ago under the Homewood name, when our dad — who designed and manufactured wood furniture — discovered how difficult it was to find surface care products that actually respected the materials they were being used on.

He believed that the products people used in their homes should work well, feel safe to live with, and avoid harsh ingredients whenever possible — long before “non-toxic” and environmentally conscious products became mainstream.

What started as a small family business grew steadily through word of mouth, loyal customers, and products people came back for year after year. Even as trends changed, the philosophy behind the company stayed the same: create thoughtful products that help care for the materials people live with every day.

Because the business began in the world of wood furniture and craftsmanship, caring for surfaces was always about more than cleaning. It was about preserving the character, longevity, and beauty of the home itself — from cutting boards and kitchen tables to metal hardware, outdoor furniture, and the everyday spaces where life happens.

Today, Surface & Home is the next generation of that legacy. Still family-owned and operated, we’re continuing the work our parents started — bringing decades of experience into a more refined, design-forward approach to specialty surface care.
